WHEN GOD PUTS YOU THROUGH THE TEST.

God will test you.
He will put you right in front of your Goliath and test you. He will test your will, your resolve and He will test if you give in to your flesh and feelings or if you seek Him more and if you seek more of the Spirit.
He will test you to see if you go back to who you were.

The test, if you pass it, will make you stronger. Stronger in the Spirit. If that is what you truly desire.
You need to call upon the Lord when you are confronted with your challenge or your test.
This is the time when you trust in God with all your might and not lean on your own understanding.
The devil will tempt you but God will test you. There is a difference.
God tests you, to check your faith.
During this period, you do nothing on your own. You fill your spirit with the word of God. You should always remind yourself how far you have come. How different you are from the person you were and then you ask yourself if you really want to go back there.

Your test or temptation will come in the form of an ex boyfriend or girlfriend, a previous addiction that you have overcome, a difficult situation or encounter or confrontation or anything that changed you or made you someone you were not proud to be.
That’s when you make the decision; that’s when God tests us to see if we are going to make the right decisions. He will always present us with choices.
I read an article when I was doing research on this topic and I came across this quote:
“The key to all of this is knowing God and walking after the Spirit because we will know who we are in Christ and we will be strong in the power of His might”

What that quote tells me is that the challenge is necessary to strengthen you spiritually. We go through the challenges and difficulties and tests joyfully because we know that God is waiting for us at the end and His grace covers us completely.

I love the following verse in the book of James 1 vs 2- 4:

“Count it all joy, my brothers and sisters, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. Blessed is the man who remains steadfast (or perseveres) under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.”

The test is all about endurance, enduring through the challenge and coming out stronger on the other side through faith.
Being tempted doesn’t make you sinner or impure; we will always be tempted and be faced with challenges of the world but if you endure, you are sure to receive the gift of salvation.

Temptation is not a sin. Acting on the temptation is the sin.
Temptation is of the devil, of the flesh and of the world.
Tests of faith are from God.

James 1 vs 13–15
“ If people are tempted by such trials, they must not say ‘ This temptation comes from God’ For God cannot be tempted by evil and he himself tempts no one. But people are tempted when they are drawn away and trapped by their own evil desires. Then their evil desires conceive and give birth to sin; and sin, when it is full grown m gives birth to death”

The reason for me sharing this post is because I’ve been faced with challenges and trails and tests ever since I gave my life to Christ and even on the days when I feel I can no longer carry on, something or someone always reminds me that the test I am going through is meant to make me stronger and better and that I should go through it gratefully and joyfully because my God will never leave nor forsake me.
